The death of an American woman in a race to complete all 8,000m peaks and of her Nepalese guide can't be blamed on inexperience: avalanches can hit anyone, and Migmar Sherpa was an expert mountaineer. But the fact that non-climbers are up in the death zone makes you wonder...
